Trade partnership with Palestinian women living in a refugee camp: Chamaille has started an embroidery project with several Palestinian women living in the Ein-el-Helwi refugee camp in Lebanon. By making beautiful hand embroideries, these women can improve their living conditions and can gain pride by being active and creative while perpetuating their traditional skills. This project was initiated in collaboration with the PCRF (Palestine Children’s Relief Fund)’s women’s empowerment program and with the support of the Dubai based boutique S*uce. |
Solidarity with Palestinian older adults from the Home “Notre Dame des Douleurs”: Chamaille's goal is to send 20% of its benefits to the Home « Notre Dame des Douleurs » in Jerusalem, a Home that welcomes poor and isolated Palestinian elderly. Since the construction of the separation wall along their garden, it has become extremely difficult for families and workers to come to the Home. The wall combined with the difficult economic situation in Palestine endangers the retirement home. |
